"Rīgas mikroautobusu satiksme" to take over minibus routes No. 209, 216 and 276 on August 24

On August 24 "Rīgas mikroautobusu satiksme" will fully take over the minibus routes operated by SIA "Taksi.lv", which means that starting from this date minibus routes No. 209, 216 and 276 will be operated by a new carrier.

"Rīgas satiksme" informs that according to the contract the timetables of the above route will not change, and the price of tickets will be LVL 0.50. It means that the price of ticket on route No. 276 will be cut from 1 lats to 50 santims. It should be also noted that e-tickets will be also valid in all minibuses, which will enable a precise accounting of passengers.

At the same time, it should be emphasised that none of the discounts granted by Riga City Council will be effective in minibuses, and pupils, students, pensioners and disabled persons of group 3 will have to buy tickets at full price. The only exception is those passengers entitled to the discounts granted by the state. i.e. disabled persons of groups 1 and 2, disabled persons under the age of 18 years, as well as persons accompanying disabled persons of group 1 or disabled persons under the age of 18 years.

It’s planned that the takeover of the remaining minibus routes will be finished in 2013.
